Deep Ripping
Deep ripping is essential to establishing a vigorous orchard or prepping first time farm ground for crops. Ripping fractures and mixes the soil to allow for better drained fields, larger plants (and trees) as less energy is required to push roots into new areas, and better uptake of water and nutrients from reduced soil compaction. We currently use a D8R or D8H Catepillar capable of ripping to depths of 60″.
We typically stay within Merced and Stanislaus counties with this equipment but can make special arrangements to accommodate certain jobs outside of that area.
